Conscience Money. More than one uneasy .ponscience has apparently found relief by the payment of money. One of the interesting features of the New Zealand Gazette of November 25 is the acknowledgement by tbe Secretary to the Treasury (Mr. G. C. Eodda) of amounts sent by un-« known persons as conscience money to the Government. Th§ conscience money is distributed: — 5/- and £2 to the Customs Department; 10/6, 1/-, 10/-, and 5/- to the Eailways Department; 5/and £5 to the Land and Income Tax Department; and £1 to the Labour gtnmtnt. ~ - ,
