1000 PARALYSIS CASES

Melbourne's Growing Total (Eeceived 1, 8.45 a.m.) MELBOUENE, Nov. 30. An analysis of the infantile paralysis statistics, when the thousandth case was reported to-day, showed that 589 cnses were males and 411 females, 29 were adults, with seven deaths. and 971 children, with 50 deaths; 497 were discharged cured or partially cured. One family produced four cases, eight families three each and 45 families two each. The warm weather and the consequent congregation of people is result'ing in a large number of cases bemg reported da%ly, despite warnings and strict restrietions.
