POLITICS AND BUSINESS
{'In business a manager makes a decision and the staff carries out • that decision, but in politics those conditions do not obtain," said the Hon. Adam Hamilton, speaking at the National Club recently. "Politics is a science, although not an exact science. It is reasonable and politicians have as much reason for their actions as have otheiis, but they work nnder different conditions to the businessman. The politician sees problems from the political angle, and he knows that there is a time and a method for doing things, both of which have to be complied with if progress is to be made. When the * politicians do not press a matter which may be good and just, it is because the time and .the method are not practicable, and »s to when those circumstance# obtain w# aak you to truit us."
