WAIBOA, Last Night. There pa^sed away at the Wairoa Hospital on Thursday niglit Mr Thomas Carroll, eldest son of the late Mr T. Carroll, Huiumua Station, at the age of 52 years. The deceased joined up with the Pioneer Mauri battalion and saw aetive service in France and Belgium. He was resident in Wairoa practically all his life, being engaged in the native land development scheme .at Mohaka. For the past year he had been in bad health^ mainly as a result of his war service.' He leaves a number of relatives, mcluding a sister, Mrs E. Hingston, Turiroa, a half-sister? Mrs G. E. Ormond, Mahia, and two half- brothers Messrs A T. Carroll and J. Carroll] Wairoa. The mortal remains were interred in the family burial plot, the Bev.
