Havelock Beat High School B An outright win by 106 runs was gained by Havelock North over High School B in the junior grade competition in Hastings on Saturday. Batting first the Villagers made 68 (Pattullo 43, W. Whitehead 11; Apperley eight for 26) and School replied with 41 (Crerar 21, Wakelin 11; Jones five for 24 and Panckhurst four for 16). In their second innings Havelock declared at four for 120 (Pattullo 30 not out, J. Davis 47, B. Whitehead 15). School were dismissed for 39 in their second effort (Lane 16 not out; Davis six for 10 and Panckhurst three for 7).
