Meeting of Trustees A \meeting of the Howard Estate Advisory Board was held at Smedley Station, Tikokino, last Friday, when the following members were present: Messrs E. Averill (chairman)# Livingston, Bowbottom, Absolum, Cuthbertson and F. W. Browne (secretary). The secretary infornied the board that their term of office would expire on May 28, 1938, and that it would be for the bodies ikey xepresented to reelect them.or appoint other representatives. . A number of applicants w.as sselected to appear before the board at an early date when six will be selected as cadets for two years ' training. It was decided to carry out extensive improvements on the station "by way of the installation of a good hot-water system, a new range, new milking houset and Letter telephone service. The* manager 's report showed that, in spite of the severe winter, there was 7(5 per cent. of lambs doeked, wi.th 120 per cent. in the stud sheep, and even better results h'ad been received for the stud cattle. The wkole of the stoek on the station was' looking exceedingly well and there was an abundance of pasture. Letters of thanks were received from former cadets. The starting of a young farmers' club among the cadets is to be. considered.
