Follomng a fairly lengtby illness, tbe deatb occurred late last evening of Mr Eaward Cbristian Krogb, of Townsend street, Hastings; Tbe late Mr Krogb, wbo was born in Napier^ was 62 years of age and bad ^ livcd praetically tlie wbole of bis life in tbis district. He was wcll-known in farming cireles, and for many years carried'on as a farm manager in tlie Patoka district. He served in tbe Soutb African War, enlisting in New Zlealand as a volunteer. Tbere are lef t • tbe widow, and two daugbters, Mrs F. Hale and Miss M. Krogh, botb of Hastings; as well as a" brotbei'j Mr O. C.'M. Krogh, of Hastings. - Tbe funeral will leave Ihe mortuary cbapel of Tong and'McIvor's, Nelson street, to-morrow affetnoon at 3 o 'elock for tbe Hastings Cemetcri'.
