COSY THEATRE
"KID GALAHAD." With three famous stars heading its cast — Bette Davis, Edward G. Robinson and Humphrey Bogart — a drama called "Kid Galahad" will screen to-night at the Cosy Theatre. Made from the best-selling novel by Prancis Wallace, ace sports fictionist, fhis Warner Bros.' thriller deals nov only with the elements of the boxing ring with which everyono is familiar but with the behind-scenes manoeuvring of fighters and managers. Eddie Robinson (staunchly backed by his girl friend, "Fluff" played by Miss Davis) has one contender for ihe championship. Bogart has anotlier. There's an 11-round -Ight for the championship (said to be the most fiery evor thrown upon a screen), a duel to the death between the two managers after the figkt. some vast scenes of Madison Square Garden and yet, withal a tender romance between Eddie 's lighter and Eddie 's sister. It's a splendidly human story, to bo enjoyed by everyone. Eight fans wiil ,be especially pleased to see some real contendera in the ring— i'ellows likb Bob Nestell, who is near the top now; Hank Haukinson, Jack Kranz and soveral others. Of course you expect — and get — great performances from Miss Davis, Robinson and Bogart, as well as a new boj" Wayne Morris.
