LUJNDON, JNOV. 2. Greyhounds llyiug liither and tbitlier m 'planes, a racing 'dog city with streets, parks and omawental fouiitains. Sucli was the vision conjured up by Brigadier-General Critchley, of the Greyhound JRacing Association, as he described the wonders of the new "Greyhound City" at 13arrow Hills, Surrey. "Work is to begin at once," he said "The city wi!l he 20 years ahead of the tiines. On the 960-acre estate we shall mciude : A dog liospital with X-rays and other modern medical equipment ; a il-electric kitchens for cooking the dogs' food ; an isolation liospital for dogs suffering l'rom contagious diseases ; a farm with a lierd of pedigre* cows to produce niiik for dogs in train mg; an airlield for use later in th rapid air transport of greyhounds to various courses." The accomniodation at Barrow HilN has bcen designed to liouse 1000 dogs Slalf wil] number 200.
