The Struggling Dairy Cockey

HARD-UP COW COCKEY.

Sir, — Why is it the dairy factory; only pays out about lld lb. for butterfat on the 20th of each month and advises its elients to have patience and they will reeeive a bonus at the end of the season, when the Government has guaranteed about 1/3? There is no risk. The butter is sold so, far as the supplies are concerned. If, as in the previous ifiethod, the butter went on the open market 1 could understand holding up a eertain portion in case of reverses in the market. I for one am scratehing a living frommy cows and want every penny to meet my obligations. Certainly I am not * money-lender to the dairy factory.— Yours. etc..
