WELLINGTON WEDDING OF HAWKE'S BAY INTEREST
GRIFFITHS— HANLON " • The ' marriage book place at, the Basiliea, Wellington, on Thursday afternoon, of Ida Nash, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. T. Hanlon, Tinakori road, Wellington, and formerly of Napier, and Jam.es Lewis, son of the late Mi\ Lewis Griffiths and Mrs Griffi'ths, Christchurch. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Walshe. The bride, who entered the chureh with her father, wore a slim-fitting gown of siiver suede lame shot with blue and fashioned with siiver flowers. The bodice, shirred on the shouldei was very full, the sleeves were long and tightly-litting at the wrist and tha skirt, swathed on the hips, fell to a long lish-tail train. Her long full veil of misty blue tulle fell from a band of orango blossom, and during the ceremony was worn over the face. She carried an arm-sheath of.arum lilies. Attonding her wero Miss Judy Knight, Dannevirke; and two matrons, of honour, the bride 's sister, hVrs Phillip Redmayne,' Feilding, and Mrs Bryaii Silk, Wanganui. They wer» dressed alike in full-skirted frocks ot blue taffeta. The low necklines and pulfed sleeves were edged with tinv bands o|- pleated cyclamen taffeta, and the long blue sashes were lined with cyclamen. The flowers in- their hair . and in. their bouquets repeated also the shades of cyclamen. The best man was Mr T. Hull, and the -ushers were Mr T. Drummond, Hawke's Bay, and Mr R. Wharton, Wellington. The bride 's .parents gave a reception at their, home in Tinakori road, . where Mrs Hanlon received her guests in a frock of , black georgette over taffeta, made with ruching round the hemline and on -the shoulders with a collar of intricate faggoting in white georgette. She wore a matching hat and carried a bouquet of roses. Assisting her wa3 Mrs Griffiths, in a navy blue ensembl* with' a hat of navy straw and a bouquet of -red roses. Later, when Mr and Mrs J. L. GriffltHs left, the latter was wearing a frock. pf powder-blue suede-satin trim-med-at the neek and the waist-line with overlapping leaves of the . material. Ovqr this sho wore .a matcliing redingote with a long collar of twisted blue suede-safin and black velvet. Her tiny blue hat, and shoes, gloves and handbag were to match.
