EXPENSIVE SEQUENCE
In keeping with its boasted production cost of two million dollars, the technieolour extravaganza '"The Goldwyn Follies" will immortalise the late George Gershwin's "American in Paris ' 1 ballet at a cost of £29,400 for seven rninutes ' footage. John Pierce, Broadway musical comedy dance director, has been signed by Samuel Goldwyn to stage the modefn dances for the film, the talent line-up for which includes Adolphe Menjou, Helen Jepson, Phil Baker, Bobby Clarke, the Ritz Brothers and the * ' Gorgeous Goldwyn Girls" — selected from ten thousand applicants.
