HATUMA'S DELIGHTFUL AFTERNOON
On W ednesday, members of the Hatuma and Wallingford Women's Institutes spent a very pleasant afternoon at the country residence of Mrs S. A. Robinson, Hatuma. Unfortunately. owing to the inclemeney of the weather, the many competitions which had been arranged to take place in the garden had to ,ba ab'andoned, and the afternoon was spent indoors, the time passiiig all too quiekly with competitions, • bridge and "500." / The competition for the best dressed doll, judged by Mesdames R. P. Wilder " and A. S. Wilder, was won by Miss *Jean Wilson, and a1 special prize was aWarded to Miss McCoskery. The doll's are to be sent to the H.B. Children 's Homes. Mrs Goombes was the winner of the "500," and the consolation prize went to Mrs John Wilson. Dnring the afternoon a delicious tea was dispensed by Mrs Robinson, who was assisted by her daughter> Miss Margaret. Robinson. Before leaving for home. Miss Allan, president of the Hatuma Institute, expressed appreciation to Mrs and Miss Robinson for the very enjoyable afternoon.
