Hbn. W. E, Parry to Manage N.Z. Tcam?

' ■ CHRISTCHURCH, This Da v. •The Couneil of the New Zealand . Swimming .Association, at its annual meeting last night, decided to reeominend to the New Zealand Olympic Coaxleil- that , the Hon. W. E. Parry, Minister of Internal AlEairs, be asked to aceept the position of manager of the New.. Zealand tearn for the Empire Games. , Mr J. W- Toqrney, ,who proposed the motion, said . that Mr ,Parry was the greatest single factor in the country today for the welfare of sp'ort and the physieal development of the people. Such an appointment would iiot only be a recognition of ,M.r Parry 's work but would , greatly ,add to the prestige of the New Zealand team. The. proposal was unanimously supported. Other recommendations were Mr P: Coira, Wellington, as submanager, aiid, Mrs Johnston, Aueldand, as chaperone. Mr E. C. Isaacs, Dunedin, was appointed swimming sub-manager.
