France continues to be on tiptoe with excitement pending fuJl disoiosures, which are expected to be even moi'e sensational. M. Moitessier, chief of • the Surete, says, that. the name Cagoiirlard was dropped and changed to Csar or Comite Hecret ti' Action Ilevolutionare. - The police declaro that they have discovered a link between certain arrested persons and a perxodical conducted *by the Duc de Guise, pretender to" the French throne. Fear of being brandcd a Cagoulard r-ohe of Ihe organisation which aimed, but 'unsuccessfully, at overthrowing the French Republic— has made the gettmg rid- of arins a popular occupation th'roughout France.. The police are tinding much ammunitidlij. revolvers and rifles on riverbanks, in parks, and on the sidea of- . roada . Although they are . not connected with the Cagoulards, the owners of the revolvers and rifles realise that no mercy is likely to be shown to possessors of illicit arms. The police are continuing their hunt for people connected with the Cagoulard. They have questioned General du Seigneur, former Chief Secretary ojc tbc Air Ministry, and Rightist sympa htiser, and' arrestod everyone iound on the premises of Eugene de Loncles. consuiting engineer to tho Peuhoet Dockyards Co., which built the luxur> iiner Normandie. lt was at tbe flat of de Loncles that the plans of the Cagoulards were tound. O.thers who have been arrested include an Air Force pilot and & former captain of' the Navy.
