Gift from Coal Miner CHRISTMAS SURPRISE LONDOlf, Kov. 3. Princess Margaret . has a pony all her own. Its name is George. The pony, a tiny Shetland, dark bay in colour, stands less' than three f eet high. It was given to the Princess by a north cnnntry rniner after it had worked in the pits. Gporge has had his name paintea in gold lettering over his newly decorated stable on the Eoyal estate at Sandringham. A special little feeding box was built for him. f George is a delightful pony, who comes trotting up whenever his name is called. He has been for some tiine at Glamis Castle, the Scottish home of the Earl and Countess of; Strathmore, the Queen's paronts. Whon the Eoyal Family paid their recent visit to Balmoral, George was sent there from Glamis, and both Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret had rides on his back. Princess Margaret was thrilled with him. It will be a Christmas surprise for her to knotv . that George is her own property. He will be given to her when she accompanies her parents to Sandringham for the I olidays. The pony is 10 years old. He has been at Sandringham sinco the roturn of the Eoyal Family from Balmoral. A few yards away lives Jock, King George Y.'s famous vrhite pony, vhicii has been pensionod off. ,
