Beacons Aerodrome Site D1SSATISFACTION AT DELAY "We iiad hoped this evening to have had sufflcient information to have made a definite report in cfmnection .with the lease of purchase of tho Beacons Aerodrome," said Mr T. C» Hercock at the monthly meeting of the Napier Airport Board last night, when dissatisfaction was freely expressed with the present uncertain position. The meeting of representatives of the Napier Borough Council, Napier Harbour Board and the Airport Board has not yet taken place and, until such time as it does occur, ihe Airport Board is at a loss to lcnow how far it can g O with any work on the eite. Mf Hercock told the meeting there was every possi' bility that the conference would be held within the next fortnight. A letter from the Borough Council, stating that it had renewed its application to the board for the Beacons, was received. It was deeided to send a letter of thanks to the District Employment officer for having fflade the services of three men aiailable to the board for a month to cul feseue at tho aerodfome. Mr F, J« Annan was in the chair, Other members present were MessrS T. P. Ilusheer. N. F. Harston, A. C. Wright and T. W. Hercock.
