WINE OR MILK?

Relative Food Values DIETICIAN'rScPERIMENT (Eeceived 25, 8.45 a.ni.) LONDON, Nov. 24, Dr. Louis Leipoldt, secretary of the South African Medical Council and a wcll-known dietitian, is advertising for identical twins on which to experiment to determiue the relative foood values of rnilk aud wine, says The Times' Cape Town eorrespondent. Dr. Leipoldt, at the opening of a recent wine slxow, caused a stir by decharing that it was better to drink wine than dirty miik. Throughout the world, he said, tbe propaganda for milk was founded on a mistakeq idea of food values. "Milk is food for people without teeth. A few raisins and a slxce of bread is a better meal," he added. Protests against. these statemehts led to the plan for the experiment on twins, who will be given free board and lodging but no payment. Winegrowers are co-operating in the experiment, whieh is to be controlled by a medical committee. /
