OHRISTCHUROH, Last Night. Small entries of fat stock at to-day 's Addington market met with an improved sale, particularly fat Sheep, and to a lesser extent fat cattle. Fat lambs: The freezing works commenced operating this week and export buyers were in the market. Prices, however, were in advance of their rates, tnaking from 9id to 9|d.. Store sheep: A much freer sale with & slight advance in prices for ewes and lambs. These were of better class and sold for two-tooths at up to 25s. Wethers were weak at from 17s to- 19s. Fat sheep: A small penning of 3500 head as against 6600 last week met trith a complete reeovery in wether values of 2s a head and of ewes about 2s 6d. Best wethers made to 34s lOd, good 28s to 32s, ordinary 23s to 26s; best ewes sold at up to 30s, good 24s ta 27s, average 18s to 21s and light down to 16s. Fat cattle. 500 penned and for a «ma.n showing of good cattle last week's drop of 20s a head was recovered. Medium sorts showed a little improvement but old cows were a shade weaker. Best young beef in a few instances made to 40s per 1001bs., good 36s to 38s, and rough down to*26s. The top price for steers was £17 17s 6d, numerous pens selling at £14 10s to £16 10s with inferior down to £10. Vealers sold at slightly lower ratea and store cattle also eased on last. week's improved market. Fat p.igs: A heavy entry and with the export price easing slightly there was a weaker sale for porkers which were down by 2s to 3s a head. Baconers were slightly easier. Porkers made Porkers made from 32s 6d to 55s 6d, average price per lb. 6Jd to 7|d; baconers £3 9s 6d to £4 4s. 6d, average 6£d to 7d. ii
