HOW TO ACHIEVE THE BEST EFFECTS
Here are a few "don'ts" lor the "not-so-slim," says a famous dress expert. Don't wear cheap, ready-made clothes. You need clothes which a,re well thought out and well-made. It's better to have two elegant garments in your wardrobe than a dozen which will merely make you look bulky. Don't wear white, frilly, "little girl" collars. Keep a plain, flat neckI line, reliered, if you like, with a row ' of pearls or a diamond clip. Don't wehr unrelieved, round, square or high-draped necks. The V sliape is always best for you. Don't wear more than one colour from shoulder to hem. * You can ring the changes with hats, bags, shoes and gloves if you like, but oue colour on the body is enough. Don't wear belts or contasting colours ; they merely act as tape measures proclaiming your girth to the world. Let your belts match .your frocks. Don't wear frocks with very short ! sleeves, unless your ams are really slender. Don't choose long dresses except for evening wear. You must keep to the fashionable length of skirt. otherwise you'll look dowdy. So be brave and show your legs in accordance with existing fashion laws. Don't be weight-oonscious I Rest happily in the knowledge that so long as you know how to sit, stand, and move gracefully, and so long as you know liow to dress, you can be iust as attractive as your more slender sister.
