Anniversary Services The Hastings Salvation Army Sunday School anniversaiy was held on Sunday ahd On Monday evening, and was'a great success The children occupied the platfqrm for the three services on Sunday, and their singing was greatly enjoyed b* the' splendid, congregations at each. meeting. Major Atherfold, of Wellington, conducted the meetings, and his bTighi leadership and helpful addre'sses wero greatly enjoyed by young and old.' During the af terhoon . the children from the "Whakatu Sunday School and ' the " town primary tots occupied . the platform and provided a pleasing progrnmme". The pTizes were " distributed to the children of the centre, and Ineluded the presentation of iive Biblcs as final prizes. ' On Monday evening a full concert. programme was' provided by tbe young folk, and included ' company • singing, dialogues, drill displays as well as solo items. Thp attendance at each se'rvice ' wa3 very gratifying. Major Marshall complimented the Sunday School teachers on their splendid training, and on behalf of the congregation thanked thern for their work, and the children for their xesponse", resulting in a successful series of services.
