NEW ANTI-AIRCRAFT GUN
Manufacture in Australia (Beeeived 24, 11.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 24. The Government ordnance factory at Maribyrnong is preparing to begin the mauufaeture of a new British antiaircraft gun about which there has been great secrecy. According to a message from London on November 12, the newspapeits were unahle to penetrate the veil of secreey surrounding Britain 's new anti-aircraft gun, which for the first time was revealed in a guarded written reply ln the House of Commons to Sir K. Warrender baldly announcing the guu's perfection. It was undersfood that the military authorities were satisfied, after years of research and huge expenditure, that the ghn would prove effective againist air-raiders.
