EASIER TONE
Quality Fat Cattle at Waipukurau ST0RE VALUES FIRM There was an easier tone on fat cattle, more particularly heavier sorts, at to-day's stock sale at Waipukurau, when a moderate entry came forward. Lighter sorts sold well generally. The quality of the entry of fat cattle was good, and the opinion was generally expressed that on a quality basis the entry was the best that hag been seen in the yards for some time past. Several good pens of quality cattle were on offer, including some well-linished Aberdeen Angus cows and heifers on account of Mr. H. W. White, Wangaehu, but tbere were a number of lighter pens which lackpd hnish and were somewhat slow of sale. Cows and heifers were prineipally penned, there being relatively lew buliocks on offer. Best femaf© lines "made to £9 14/-, and the top price for bullocks was £10 15/- , for a medium-finished. entry. Store cattle values generally were firm on late rates, with a good inquiry for the majority of the lines on offer. Several good station lines were included in the entry, one attractive* line being a draft of two-year-old Aberdeen Angus heifers on account of Kittow Bros., Tamumu. Mr. C. Pattison was represented by a good line of young builocfs.
