New Year Meeting The Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's programme for its New Year meeting has been issued. The meeting will be held on Saturday and Monday, January 1 and 3, 1938. There aT6 seYen races each day, and 775 sovs. in stake money is offered each day, so that 1550 sovs. will. be distribufed over the two dayS. There are 3 o faees Of a lesser value than 100 sovs. The two principal events eaeh day are: First day, New Year Handicap, 150 sovs., and Stewards' Handicap of 125 sovs., second day, Preaident's Han- ' dicap, 150 sovs., Final Handicap, 125 sovs. Nominations for all events close on Tuesday, December 14.
