AUCKLAND, Last Night. While lieavy race traffie was returning to Auckland from Te Rapa on Saturday night a eollision oceurred at Papakura between a large horse-float and a ea.r, the driver of whieh, Miss Lena Foote, aged about 43, of Mt. Eden suffered concussion, liead injurics and a fracture of the riglit elbow. Ilor condition was reported to be serious. Falling over on its side after the irapaet, the liorse-float completely blocked the road. Three front-seat passengcrs and two joclceys, who were riding with two liorses and a f'oal inside the floftt, escaped injury. The roof was rcmovcd in order to liberate the horses.
