"Oue of the most coveted rowards for industrial workers is a season tieket for the opera, " said Miss A. L. ljoudou, headmistress at tho Epsom Girls ' Grammar School, in relatiug some of her impressions gained during a recent visit to Eussia at a luncheon of the Auckland branch of the Leaguo of Nations Union. Eeferring to the great thirst for art throughout tho country, Miss Loudon said that dramatic art throughout the country them tic art took pride of place in Eussia.
