ST. ANDREW'S CHURCH CHOIR HAVE SOCIAL EVENING

St. Andrew's Hall was the scene of a happy gathering on Friday evening when the choir of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church entertained the conI gregation at a social, presided over by Rev. D. J. A. Shaw. A programme of bright nrusical items was given, the following contributing: Yocal solos, Mrs Watkins, Miss Edlin, and Dr. D. Bathgate; "voeal duets, Mrs Lowry and Miss Ford, Misses Edlin and Ashcroft,- Misses Thompson and McLean, Mrs Ldw:ry.and Mr Baumgart; vocal quartettcs: Mrs Lowry, Miss Ford, Messrs Aclam.son and Baumgart; glees, the choir a,nd the intermediate girls' choir; violin solo, Miss Beth.

Thompson; pianofortq solo, Miss Whceler. The accompaniste was Miss A. Lock. The musical items were interspersed with a competition in blackboard art, { Avon by Miss McLean, and a novel putting competition. Mr McKay, in a happy speech, thanked the choir for their entertainnient and made reference to all that the choir does for the musical serviee of the church. In reply, Mr Baumgart, e'hoir conductor, spoke of the Ihappy relations that existed and of the pleasure members of the choir had in serving the church. A dainty supper brought a pleasurable evening to a close.
