r , AUCKLAND, Last Night. Criticism of the scandard of work of New Zealand' watersiders was made by Mr.. C. M. Turrel), -general manager and ditector of the .New Zealand • Ship-ping^-Company,- who returned to the Dominion by.the Awatea -aftbr-a business. and holiday visit to England. Mr. Turrell said . costs against shipowners had gone up in an extraordinary manner and as far as New ZealatU trade was concerncd, ; practically no ships'were being built other- than those which had been ordefed priOr to these rises.- -The building programmes of the •Various compani'es had- been delayed.
