UNSTABLE CURRENCIES

Hindrance to World Trade RELATIONSHIP TO PEACE (Beceived 20, 8.45 a.m.) LONDGN, Nov. 19. In winding-up the debate on foreign affairs in the House of Lords, Viscount Swinton, said that the Government's plans for lasting peace envisaged full protection for British lives and interests. Erank discussion would remove international fears and suspicione and release currencies from control iu all countries, thus facilitating trade. He condemned over-optimistic expectations that great things would result from Viscount Halifax's visit to Germany and rejected Germany's colonial argument by sayiqg: "Our colonial markets are open to all on equal terms. Complete freedom of trade is sdlowed in mandated territories and there is no question of taw materials not being available, but producers want to be paid in currency that can be , used for exchange control. Unstable currencies are the greatest hindrance to world trade."
