FILM STARS' DOCTOR
Miss July Kelly, the young Australian stage and film star, is one of many actresses whp have benefited by treat- , ment at the hands ef Dr. John Carpenter, of New York, now in London. It is by means of his small but powerful hands, aided by a thorough knowledge of psychology and a black mask, that this American doctor is able to transform a raging, temperamental stage or screen star into a pleasant, affable but competent performer. Stage fright, scr.een shyness or the "mike" jitters all disappear under his ministrations. He perfected his treatment after years of experimenting in Broadway. His patients inelude stars like Edith Pay, Joan Orawford, William Powell, June Knight, as well as Judy Kelly. "My system eonsists of manlpulative work affecting all the nerve eentres,' ' 1 he said.
