HOME LEAGUE MEETINGS HELD IN NOVEMBER
The Hastings Home League has held some very interesting meetings during November. A spiritual meeting was beld on the first" Wedriesday"in • the • month, and on the second Wednesday" the Hastings Methodist Guild kindly entertained the League'and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent. Adputant Lamberton thanked the Methodist ' Guild for their kindly thoUght in joining with the "League and 'giving them such a nice afternoon. Iteriis were given as follow: — Reeit',tion, Mrs War-, rington; song, Mrs Barker; piano solo, Mrs Ford; vcal duet, Mrs 'Carey and Mrs Warrington; song, Mrs Maisie. A Bible-r?eading was given , by Mrs Harrisj after "which Mrs Osborne and Mrs Russell returned thariks to the Home League for their welcome. Adputants Lamberton and ' Feltham were in charge of the meeting last Wednesday, choosing for their entertainment a sketch called "A Cihinese Afternoon," Avhich was very ably carried out by Mrs Neilson and Miss Smith, with the help of little Pat Smith. Mrs Pederson read. the story and tlie members sagn the hymns, the aceompaniments being jilayed by Mrs Lear and Adjutant Lamberton. Afternoon tea was arranged by Mrs Venables, assisted by members of the league. The. stage was decorated with bowls' of beautiful flowers) arranged by Mrs Nielson. The meeting for next ' week is to be & Scotti*h afternoon and a welcome is extended to all who are interested. The text must include ihe word heart.
