DAMAGES INCREASED
The amount of general damages allowed Peter John O'Eegan in his cla-im against James Coleman, a Waipukurau farmer, for injnries received in a motor accident, was increased by £20 in a reserved judgment received yesterday in Napier from Mr Justice Ostler. The case was heard at the recently-conclud-ed session of the Supreme Court in Napier, but the plaintiff, dissatisfied with the amount of general damages £5>, applied for a new trial, counsel agreeing that, if the motion proved suecessful, His I-Ionour should assess the da mages. The reserved judgment gav6 thc hgure as £25, with £2 12/6 cootB oi the motion.
