REMINDERS

Recently the National Council of the Federation of Labour adjudicated in the dispute as between the Wellington and Hawke's Bay General Labourers' Unions, and it was decided that a ballot be taken of the meinbers of the Hawke's Bay Union wtili a view to obtaining a deeision on the question of which organisation they wished to belong to. The Pxesident of tlie Federation of Labour, Mr A. McLagan, will address a meeting in the Friendly Society Hall, Hastings, at 8 p.m. on Friday, Novem- . ber 19, and in the Community Hall, Napier, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 20. All members of the Hawke's Bay Union are urgently requested to attend this meeting. A full discussion on the pros and cons of the matter will take place at the close of Mr MeLaglan's speech. Attention is drawn to the advertiseaient appearing in this issue giving particulars of an offering of town business and residential sites, as well as two good farni properties, which will be made by N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Cq. Ltd., in conjunetion with Mr T. S. Roulston, at the Oddfellows' Hall, Hastings, at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday, 27 th instant. Having been in eonstanb praetice cluring the past two nionths, the members of the Hastings Methodist ' Choir, assisted by visiting artists, are presenting their annual concert in the Assembly Hall, Hastings,' on Wednesday the 24th instant, at 8 o 'cloek.
