BAY VIEW MEETING
The November meeting of the Bay View Women's Institute was held last Wednesday in King George's hall, when Mrs. Olsen presided and welcomed, several visitors, Mrs. Staniland read the si.ck report for the month, and one new member was enrolled. Mrs. Peterson gave a detailed report of the halfyearly council meeting held at Greenmeadows in Oetober. It was deeided to make the December meeting a social evening. Mrs. Osborne, of Tangoio^ delighted members with a very interesting talk on a visit to Canada. Competitions for the month rcsulted as follows : Mrs. Milne's special prize for fancy butter, Miss Nichoils 1 , Mrs. E. Pe'terson 2, Mrs. Scott 3; jam jar of flowers arranged for effect: Mrs. E. Peterson 1, Miss Blair 2, 5frs. Olsen 3; silver miniature cup for the best bloom, Mrs. Olsen 's rose 1, Miss Nichoils' seliianythus 2, Miss Blair 's stoek 3. The hostcsses, Mesdames C. (Staniland, Eobertson, Walden and Stratford , served a dainty afternoon tea.
