JOLLY PARTY-GIVEN AT TAKAPAU
Mr. and Mrs. T. Power, of, Takapau, gave a, very delightful party at their homestead last week to celebrate the engagement of their daughter, Dulcie. The delightful residence was a blaze of oolour and the drawing-room, which was used as the ball-room, was decorated with streamers. Sfrs. Power, who wore a brown satin model frock, was ably assisted in her duties as hostess by her sister-in-law, Mrs. J. C. Windle, Waipukurau, who
wore a dainty gown in blue silk net over- taffetas. During the evening a dainty supper was served and enjoyad by those present. Tap dancing items were given by Miss jFay Hall, and song by Miss E. Pease, and Mr. Ward gave musical momologues and Mr. J. D. Kitchen vocal solos. Speeial thanks were accorded Mr. Noel Bartle for playing the accompaniments and giving musical items.
