Auckland University College authorities. Miss Webb, who will leave Auckland by the Aorangi on Tuesday en route for Singapore, will sit for the exaniination in Latin for the Ll.B. degree on Wednesday afternoon under the sup«rvision of an officer of the liner or some other approved person. Her examination will co-incide with that being held ashore and at the conclusion her paper will' be locked in the shi^'s safe and then posted to Auckland under .seal when the liner reaehes Sydney. The chiof supervisor at the college, Rev. A. J. Greenwood, said the circumBtances were exceptional, but the university 's method was to help students as much as possible commensurate with proper supfervision. So long as a responsible person was in charge it was quite safe to allow an examination in this way. Miss Webb is inexperienced as a saiLor, and is therefore combining the lasfminute study of Latin the acquiring of a knowledge of how to pervent seasicksess.
