MEMBERS MEET CABINET MINISTERS

An assurance that Cabinet would give full consideration to the representations made on behalf of local bodies regarding the repayment of in.,terest and piincipal on earthquake loans was given Messrs E. L. Cullen, W. E. Barnard and H. M. Christie, members of Parliament for Hawke's Bay, Napier and Waipawa electorates this morning. Inf ormation to this effect was contained in the following telegram received from Wellington: — "In reference to earthquake rehabilitation loans to local bodies, we waited this morning upon the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, and the Minister of Finance, the. Hon. Walter Nash, and made representatiofas tospecting same. The Minister in reply stated that the representations would be fully considered by Cabinet."
