FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE
Outbreak Introduced By Migrant Birds (Received 15, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 13. "The evidence indicates that foot-and-mouth disease has been importcd into Britain by migrant birds," said Mr W. S. Morrison (Minister of Agri-" cnlture), in the House of Commons. He added that the possibility of the transportation of the disease by mud brought into the country on the wheels of chassis of motor cars had not been overlooked, but the nature of tlie present outbreak sliowed it was a field infection and not a road infectioh.
