CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
Mortals and Imrhprtals was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Cliurches of Christ, Scientist, on- Sunday, 14th November. The Golden Text was Gal. 4:6,7, "Because ye are sons, God hafch sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Whereforo thou are no 'more a servant, but a son; and if a s6n, then an heir of God through Christ." Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon were the following from the Bible, "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by iilie word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all tho glory of man as the llower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away." (I Pet. 1:23,24). Also the following passages from tlie Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy, "Immortal man was and is God's image or idea, even the infinite expression of infinite Mind, and immortal man is coexistent and co-eternal with that Mind. Learn this, O mortal, and earnestly seeg the spiritual status of man, which is outside of all material selfhood. Remember that the Seriptures say of mortal man: "As for man, his days :.re as grass:" (pp. 336,476.)
