Bromwich Beats Quist . SYDNEY^ Nov. 13. In the State fennis championships Bromwich, by beating Quist three sets to two, won the men's singles championship, 4—6, 6—4, 6—1, 2—6, 7—5, The women 's singles championship was won bjy Miss N. Wynne, who defeated Miss ,T. Coyne, 6 — 3, 7 — 5. The singles match was more notable for its changing fortunes than anj consistent excellence. Actually thera was little between Quist and Bromwich and probably two *'net cords" in the fifth set turned the tide in Bromwich 's favour when he scemed likely to bd beaten. In the final of the men's doublef championship Crawford and' McGrath. beat Bromwich and A. Huxley, 3 — 6, 6 — -3, 6 — 4, 6 — 4. In the women 's doubles Mrs. Hopman and Miss Coyne beat Misses N. Wynne and D. Stevenson. 10—8, 3—6, j
