Haumoana Meeting
The Haumoana Institute held a garden party in Mrs-McCar'thy's garden on Wednesday afternoon. The weather was beautiful and the garden .was very much admired. ThiVe • was a . large crowd present and a very enjoyable afternoon was speqt by all. Mrs Tearle was kept very busy with her bring;andbuy stall. Several competitions were held; The winners were: Mrs Hayward, . Mrs Manning, Mrs H. Srnith, and Miss Butcher. Mrs Castlos was in charge of the afternoon tea arrangements, Mrs Baker, on behalf of the Women's Institute, thanked Mrs McCart/ky who kindly placed her home and garden at their .dijSpoBal.
