PUPILS OF ST. LUKE'S SCHOOL PRESENT A DELIGHTFUL OPERETTA
The pupils of St. Luke's School, Havelock North, presented a most dellghtful operetta, fDream Come True" (by Marflorie Lyon) , in the Yillage Hall last evening, before • a large audiencp which thorou'ghly enjoyed the peirformanco. 4 . The operetta was arranged by the headmistress, Miss D. S. Dudding, and Misis Faith Gardiner, while Miss Jean Ballantyne arranged the dances. Yery attractive eostumes were worn by those taking part and in the second act in particular, a woodland glade scene, tlie setting >vas most charming. The whole performanee was most delightful, each little perforiner taking. her part with obvious pleasure and much credit is due to those whose worn and trouble was rewarded with sucli excellent results. The characters were:— Flower Girl, Barbara Wrijght; Dear Child, Dorothy Edwards; Little Child, Marjorie Johnson; Bad Boy, Rob Warren; Pierre (the Onion Boy), Dinah Redpath (an Old Girl); Mother, Elisabeth Simson; Hush--a-Bye MRn, Elizabeth von Dadelszen; Red Leaf, Nona Blackinore; Gold Leaf, Maxine Phillips; Affected Frog, Wendy Whitlock; Melancholy Mouse, Patsy Heaton; Clumsy Crow, Diana D'Oyly; Spirit of Woods, Betty Nimon; Sneaky Cat, Mary Blac'kmore; Autumn, Elisabeth Simson; Jo"hn Willy, Patrieia Barron; Horace the Hare, Arthur Wood; Little ROse, Noeline Nimon; Moon Fay, Janice TouT.^in ; The East Wind, Betty Nimon; Moth, Sarah- M.
