T.uesday next, November 16, promises to be a great day for the members of St. Matthew's" Guild of Fellowship and all their friends as this' is the day of their annual garden party due to the kindness of Mr J. C. Tosswill, Fitzroy Avenue, Hastings, who has offered to lend her • home and grounds for the afternoon. Mrs Tosswill 's garden is one of the most beautiful in Hastings, and for a very small entrance fee visitors will bo able- to s'ee the garden whicfli. is looking particularly lovely. at present while the roses are in full bloom and Mrs Tosswill's nne collection of irises are also- at their best. A variety of stalls ..will be on hand for" thosp requiring. to replenish their supplies of produce, cakes or sweets, fhough the most important stall for this .ti'me of the year is the Christmas gift stall which will, no doubt, be.well patronised. On this stall there -will .be a variety qf* useful . aprons, pretty and dainty- lavender bags, black nigger stocking dolls "which all - children love ahd a host of other articles. Arrangements have been mdde 'for a cafetaria afternoon tea which will be enjoyed by all the visitors. Should the weather be wet the sale will be beld in St, Matthew's Hall.
