WOMEN'S TEMPERANCE UNION
The annual meeting of the Makotuku branch of the Women 's Christian Temperance Union was held at the residem-e of Mrs W. Mildon. The president, Mi's J. T. Dalley, presidcd over a goou attendanee. Mrs Yiekers led the devotions. Tbe Napier Union having askcd for gifts to be scnt down i'or tneir j-uuible salc, Mns Buructt, trcasurer. is I'orwanling a number of gifts which mombers handed in during the afternoou. The following oilieers were t-lected i'or the ensuing year: — •Pror.ideni, JMrs J. T. »Dalie"y; secretary, Miss 11. M. Mildon; White llibbon reporters, Mesdames A. Burnett and W. Mildon; cradle roll supervisor, Mrs J. T. Dalley. The ne.xt meeting will be held in February at the residence of the Misses E. and "A. 7, ebb, "Todlaw_" Ormondville. Af'ternoon tea terminated an enjoyable afternoou.
