MOTOR LICENCES

Substantial Increases Noted Further increases in the, number of vehicular licenses, and the revenue therjefrom is noted in the monthly report of the Borough Traffic Inspector, Mr D. Mann, presented to the Hastings Borough. Gouncil last evening. Driver's licences show an increase of 278 so far this year compared with Ika corresponding period last year while heavy traffic licences are ulso up by 100. Revenue, on these two counts, has increased by £632 4/2. The following are the .figures supplied for tha periods under review: —

Last month there were 90 driver's and 24 heavy traffic licences issued and the department carried out 41 tests for driver's licences, two applicants failing. To date 211 tests have been carried out.
