A meeting of all those intending to take part in athletics tnis season will De held at Nelson Park, Hastings, on Tues.day, November 16, at 7.30 p.m. St. Luke's School, Havelock North, will hold its annual garden fete tomorrow week, November 20, in the grounds of Mrs. Lowry North 's residence, according to an advertisement which appears in this issue. The transfer books of Dalgety and Co., Ltd., will be closed from November 10 to November 24 (both days inclusive) for payment of final dividend. Having taken over cpntrol of the Parkvale Swimming Bath3 the Parkvale School, Committee lias conducted several "working-bees" during the past week and the baths have been renovated and thoroughly cleaned. In addition lighting has been installed for it is proposed to have the baths opon in the evenings. The bath will be officially opened for the season to-morrow afternoon
