(Received 12, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 11. . New variations on the sit-down. strike are described in the day's news. Jewish students in Poland have begun a stand-up strike and cafeteria workers in New York a lie-down strike. The Jewish Telegraph Agency at Warsaw reports that Jewish students at Posen University refused to occupy the special "ghetto" seats and stood throughout le'etures as a protest. The rector warned them that if they did not occupy the benches there would be disciplinary measures. Various Polish educational institutions have establiahed a ' ' bonchghetto" system, unknown even in Germany, by which Jews anl Aryans are separated in the lecture-rooms. Benches are marked exolusively for each. The Warsaw University has the Beats numbered, and the students sit according to identity cards. A recent message stated that it was possible that the system would eventually be adoptod on omnibuses and trama and in theatres. From New York it is reported that the "lie-down" strike has superseded the sit-down strike. Twenty-four pickets of a cafeteria in Sfiventh Avenuo, in the heart of Manhattau, at lunch-time linked arnis ahd lay down on their backs on the footpath, so blocking the entrance. A large crowd gathered, stoppirig the traffic. The lie-down strikers refused to move ahd kicked the police, who lifted them and dumped them into patrol waggons,
