No Change on Hastings Market GOOD INQUIRY THROUGHOUT No change was shown in the market for store sheep at Stortford Lodge today, when all lines met with a good mquiry and brought sattsfactory Tates. A fine line of shorn four-tooth wethers, in forward order. on aceount of Mr H. R. Campbell, brought 26/-. A line of mlxed aged wethers in the wool and in forward order brought 34/1. A particularly good line of hand- , shorn two-tooth ewes in very good c.oudition realised 34/7. Shorn two-tooth wethers, medium grown, were in demand at 22/-. Mixed aged ewes with forward lairibs. at foot brought 21/9. The entry of unshorn store ewes, fair-mouthed whose lambs had'gone into the works sold at 22/- after keen bidding. Realisations were as under: — On aceount of Mr H. R. Campbell, •Poukawa, 403 fat and forward fourtooth well-framed shorn wethers, ju splendid order, including a percentage ready to hang up, sold in -a line at' 26/-. In from Fernhill, 200 shorn 2-th wethers, medium-grown but varying in eondition, brought 20/1. On aceount of Mr G. Merry, Raukawa, 219 rising four, six and eighttooth wethers, unshorn and carrying a good fleece, brought "34/1. These wethers were in forward order and, once off the shears, should finished readily. A line of 215 shorn two-tooth wethers, quite well grown and in good . forward order and healthy, sold at 22/-. In off hill-coantry at Fernhill, 223 medium-grown shorn- two-tooth wethers, in light eondition. haviug been hard wintered, many loolcing . poor, were passed at • 17/-. On good fced . these young wethers .would come " away quiekly. , .. ;■ ■ " . . . , ; . A line of nieely-grown early-shorn two-tooth ewes, in good eondition and bright, sold at 30/-. A line of Southdown-cross shorn. twotooths, off Irill ' country, in m'cdium eondition, brought : 20/-. y • In from Puketapu, • a - line of woolly wether hoggets, medium-grown and in light order. sold -well at -27/4. On aceount of . S; * Graham, Haumoana, 10. , well-grown' han.d-shorn two-tootli ewes, with a good slipe, w.ere passed .at 34/7.y Tjiese ewes came off the blades iu. splendid order and : made a most attraet'ive "pen.
