AUCKLAND, Last Night. Parliament will be asked this session to pass an amendment of. the invalidity pension law to make less stringent the residential qualification of applicants. The Minister, the Hon. W. E. Parry, stated to-day that tfie operation of last year's Act had brought out prominently some harsh cases of New ' Zealanders who had been disqualified by broken periods of residence which, in many instances, had been caused by receiving treatment outside the • Dominion. The amendment, which would be included in ohe of the Finance Bills was intended by the Govenrment to ease the position. "I have afranged with the Coinmissioner of Pe- ons, Mr H. Digby-Smitu, to visit Auckland with me," said the Minister, ".to examine cases in whichdifiiculties, have occurred."
