MRS. MARGARET HICKEY
The death occurred this morning of Mns Margaret Hickey, of King street, a woll-lmown and highly-esteemed old roeident of Hastings. Born at Sontenmore, County- Glaire, Xreland^ in 1857,- the late Mrs -Hickey came ont to New Zealand when abont 15 or 16 yeaTs of age and shortly after-war-ds settled in Hastings, where she has remained ever since. Of a cheefful and hospitable nature, Mrs Hickey .ehjoyed a wide^circle of friendships and was highly respected by all who came"' in contact with her. Her husband predeceased her about 11 years ago, There are left two daughters/ Mrs Harry Powdrell, of Charles street, and Miss A. T. Hickey, of King street, to wkom widespread sympathy will be extended. The funeral will leave the late residence fort the Catholic Charch and thence, at 2 o'clock, for the Hastings lemetery on Thursday.
